What is your favorite place to visit, thing(s) to do in, or memory from living in LA?

I’ve only been to LA a few times! My favorite experience so far was hiking in Topanga State Park (amazing)!

If you’ve never lived in LA before, what are you most excited about?

I’m really looking forward to the ability to go to the beach, go hiking, and go eat at a world-class restaurant all in the same day.

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?

I’m still figuring out exactly what I want to do, but I’m interested in medical education and critical care in particular.

Why did you choose UCLA-Olive View for residency?

I knew that I wanted a balanced curriculum with the ability to work in an academic center and county hospital. I also knew that I wanted to enjoy my life outside of residency, at it seemed like the residents I met at UCLA were among the happiest I encountered on the trail. Not only that, but the “family” vibe I witnessed between residents and faculty was unlike anything I saw at any other program. For these reasons and many more, it was an easy decision ranking UCLA my #1 choice.

What else do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?

I’m pretty social, so most of my free time is spent with friends. I love hiking, camping, and being outdoors in general. I’ve also recently got really into cooking and am always trying new recipes.
