Interests
If you never lived in LA, what are you most excited about?
I love exploring the different neighborhoods of Los Angeles, having family nearby, finding my new go-to restaurants, Malibu Farms, Sugarfish, hiking, and going to the beach after a shift.
What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?
I am interested in EMS, ultrasound, simulation, and academic EM.
Why did you choose UCLA-Olive View for residency?
I loved the combination of diverse training environments that UCLA-Olive View offered; it is so rare to find a residency program that provides training at a university, tertiary/quaternary Level 1 trauma center as well as a significant amount of time at a county hospital with a vastly different patient population and pathology to learn from. I felt that UCLA Olive-View offered endless opportunities--personalized electives, community involvement, future fellowships, and the ability to prepare residents to be leaders and effective teachers in academic EM. I am also very interested in resident (and all physician) wellness, and I felt that the UCLA residents were genuinely happy and had so much pride in their training.
What else do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?
I love dance (ballet, tap, jazz), yoga, reformed pilates, softball, cooking (I try), scary movies, trying new restaurants, and asking people if I can pet their dogs.
