Why did you choose UCLA for residency?
I wanted to train at a place that would prepare me for anything anywhere. UCLA-Olive View was the perfect combination of community and academic medicine. I felt confident I would receive preparation in both the bread and butter of Emergency Medicine as well as procedures and advanced tertiary/quaternary care. Most importantly, the residents and attendings I met during my time visiting UCLA were some of the most down to earth and humble individuals I had the pleasure of meeting on my interview trail. This was the kind of environment I wanted to train in to become the doctor I wanted to be.
What else do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?
Love traveling and backpacking in my free time. Can otherwise be found napping, watching superhero movies, or reading about religions, philosophy, anything outer space.
Is there any other info you'd like to share with applicants?
Emergency Medicine is an incredibly open-minded field with a great appreciation for genuineness. Be yourself and share your stories.
