Why did you choose UCLA for residency?            

UCLA met what I was looking for in a residency program on many levels. In the end, a few factors were very influential regarding my decision to choose UCLA for residency. I really liked the true 50/50 split between working at an academic institution and a county facility. Location is great and for me it is close to family. Lastly, and probably the biggest reason I chose UCLA, were the quality relationships I witnessed not only among the residents, but between the residents and faculty as well.  

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?          

I am very interested in global health and disaster response. I also have an interest in sports medicine and wilderness medicine.

What is your favorite place to visit/thing(s) to do in/memory from living in LA?

Exploring different neighborhoods, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach.

What else do you do in your free time? What hobbies do you have?      

Boxing, jiu-jitsu, food (more so eating than cooking), and traveling. I also enjoy nature, photography, and film.
