Why did you choose UCLA for residency?

The even split between a county hospital and an advanced academic center means you get exposed a wider variety of systems and patients than you would at most other programs. Though what really hooked me was how happy all of the residents were on interview day.

What are your areas of interest within EM or future career plans?

I'm not sure what direction my future career will take, but I have always been interested in improving care and access for underserved patient populations. Considering how many patients only interface with the health care system at the level of the ED, I think we can play an important role in studying and improving those access pathways.

What is your favorite place to visit/thing(s) to do in/memory from living in LA?

I would have to say the Hollywood Bowl. I love live music, and it is such a fun venue to see some great bands in person.
