This clerkship (sub-Internship) is available to fourth year medical students interested in emergency medicine. During this three week elective, medical students spend 12 eight-hour clinical shifts working with emergency medicine residents and faculty, at the UCLA Emergency Medicine Center and the Olive View-UCLA Emergency Department seeing patients with a wide variety of clinical problems, including patients who are critically ill or traumatically injured. Grades for the course are determined by faculty and resident evaluations.
